Find freelance opportunities outside of sports that are relevant to what you want to do. For instance, if you want to work in sports sponsorship, conduct sponsorship for a local event that someone is holding. It never hurts to ask – people are always looking for sponsors and if you tell them it’s for a resume builder they may consider.
